Each year, RightStar supports a wide variety of civic, community, and charitable organizations. These organizations are active in the areas of health, medicine, military, cancer, families, friends, faith, history, music, children, disaster relief, and others.
RightStar gives its support with direct donations of cash, matching gifts that employees make, and donating time. Dick Stark, RightStar’s President and CEO, is actively involved with many of the charities and encourages everyone at RightStar to be involved in civic or charitable work. Employees are given recognition for their individual donations and volunteer work within the company.
RightStar’s PTO and VTO policies clearly illustrate our commitment to charitable and civic work and give employees encouragement and opportunities to get involved. Since implementing the PTO and VTO policies in 2010, RightStar is proud to say that employees have begun taking opportunities to utilize them. Employees have converted their PTO to charitable donations. VTO was used toward helping with such activities as a volunteer fire department fund raiser; computer training at Cornwall Community Hospice; and Operation Comfort at the Ft. Sam Houston Charity Golf tournament.
In 2011, RightStar instituted an annual company-wide Volunteer Day. RightStar staff across the United States put their time and hearts into helping those in need in their respective communities.
